As a school, celebrated Ruby Bridges. Monday, November 14 marked the 60th anniversary of desegregation of public schools in the south. Before this date, Ruby Bridges attended her school with no other classmates. Her teacher, Mrs. Henry, taught her alone everyday until desegregation of public schools became a reality. Ruby is one of many symbols of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States and we look up to her for her courage and resilience.
