As an AAEE community, we celebrated each other and brought awareness to racial justice issues from the past and present. Each grade focused on a theme. The themes were:
- Pre-K through 1: identify and understand differences
- Grade 2: monuments and statues
- Grade 3: Ruby Bridges and school segregation
- Grade 4: Immigration
- Grade 5: Civil Rights and peaceful protests
