The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is an annual video contest, organized by James Kennedy, in which young filmmakers create short movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery-winning books in about 90 seconds.
The screening of our video will be at the eight annual 90-Second Newbery Film Festival at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square on Saturday, April 27, 2019.
Author, James Kennedy, visited our fifth graders in mid-November and spoke about the Newbery challenge. He explained his writing process and then read and enacted excerpts from his book, The Order of Odd Fish.
